Following a successful fitout in Napier after Cyclone Gabreille, Int. Workspaces were engaged to develop an office space in Palmerston North for the same client.

The office will be located on the first floor of a newly renovated building and will be home to over 70 office staff who will be spread over the 750m2 space. The ground floor will be occupied by their Operations Team who will also have offices and changing room facilities for a further 100 staff.

Int. Workspaces were given a conceptual furniture floor plan from the client’s architect but were given creative freedom to develop the space to better suit the client’s needs.

The space will incorporate an open plan with dedicated “zones” for each office department. We have created plenty of break out areas between zones for collaborative work as well as including plenty of high sided Booth Seating for privacy. The office space will feature one of our new Office Phone Booths which will help muffle those noisy phone talkers. The changing rooms downstairs will include products from our range of Changing Room Lockers.

Our design incorporated a variety of products and finishes that were used in the previous project to allow for a uniform look and feel over both office spaces.

Consultation of this project began in December 2023, and it is expected to be delivered Q3 2024.

Once our client has approved the office layout, we then establish furniture requirements and specifications. We do this by understanding our client’s business, how the space is going to be used and of course the client’s budget to ensure we can supply and install fit for purpose products.

The final stage before signoff is product finishes, whether it be Melteca, Veneer, Solid Wood, Powdercoat, Acoustic Panels and our endless fabric options for soft seating and screens.

The Project Team will then work alongside our client and their contractors to ensure all our products are manufactured to a high standard, delivered, assembled, and installed within the project timeline, and commissioned by our own install team – this ensures a seamless fitout from start to finish.
